A05 and A61 are both high-chrome white iron alloys commonly used in slurry pump wear components. While they’re designed for abrasion resistance, their performance differs due to variations in carbide content, which directly influence hardness, toughness, and impact resistance.
🔹 Choose A05 when you need a strong balance between wear resistance and toughness. It performs well with larger solid particles and in mildly corrosive or acidic slurry environments.
🔹 Choose A61 when maximum abrasion resistance is the priority. It excels in applications with fine or mixed particle sizes and lower impact conditions, where extended wear life is critical.
Selecting the right material can significantly improve pump reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
